127 ADDY Winners Named

~Show recognized the best social, digital and integrated advertising pieces from the Austin Ad community~

AUSTIN—February 20, 2015—The Austin Advertising Federation recognized 32 creative services companies in the Austin area at the 2015 ADDY Awards Show. Celebrating the theme, “Own It” and produced by Marketing Matters, winners were honored for outstanding social, digital and integrated advertising and marketing efforts from the past year.

Some of the top awards went to the following agencies: GSD&M took Best in Show for its RadioShack “Goodbye 80’s” Super Bowl campaign; Helms Workshop took home Best in Design for its packaging of the Austin Beerworks Peacemaker Anytime Ale; Mutual Mobile won Best in Digital for its Nike SB effort; Texas State University took Best of Advertising – Student Work for its Texas Junk Fest poster series; Job Population Lab won Best of Design – Student Work for its Barilla packaging work and Best of Digital – Student Work for its the Grommet: Save Face Application mobile work.

Other creative talent was recognized in 20 categories and was chosen by six prominent judges from other top tier markets. In the end, out of more than 391 entries, winners took home 37 gold, 43 silver and 47 bronze awards.

We’d like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s competition; this type of talent keeps that epic creative spirit alive in Austin,” said Cynthia McGuineas, President of the Austin Advertising Federation. “Last night’s event was a showcase of the award-winning work designed and produced in this town.”
